Post 433 Honor Guard Honors heroes on the 80th Anniversary of the attack at Pearl Harbor at the Carl Johnson Memorial in Sayville.
The park on the of Johnson Ave and Lakeland Ave is dedicated to the memory of Carl A. Johnson, United States Army, for whom Johnson Ave is named.Private Johnson, at the age 23, was killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7th 1941.Lest he and his comrades be forgotten, this park was dedicated on December 7th 1991, on the 50th anniversary of their deaths to commemorate their sacrifice to God and country.God bless America
