Sayville VFW Post 433 Commander Bill Borthwick and member Joe Franzosa deliver gifts to Long Island State Veterans home Director of Therapeutic Recreation Michelle Cheslak

The members of Sayville VFW Post 433 in a joint effort with the members of the Sayville High School History Club put together 70 Xmas gift bags for the veterans, both men and women residing at the State Veterans Home at Stony Brook.  The gifts, which were delivered on December 22 and included a note to each veteran thanking them for their service and wishing them a wonderful holiday.   The members of Post 433 would like to acknowledge the tremendous support we have received from the members of the Sayville High School History Club and their advisor, Mrs. Susan Hart, for their incredible support of our Post and the Veterans of our community over so many years.  We are truly blessed by their ongoing generosity.
